Start with the person, purpose and original claim

First identify who created the advice and what they want you to do. The National Library of Medicine’s guidance on evaluating health information recommends checking who runs a website, why it exists, where its information comes from and whether experts review the material.
Credentials should match the subject. A certified trainer may be well qualified to teach exercise technique, but that credential alone does not authorize medical diagnosis or individualized treatment.

Judge the evidence instead of the confidence
A confident delivery is not evidence.
